Roosevelt Sets Record!!!

Roosevelt achieved a record 14 entries this year!! We had individual, small group, and whole class entries. They included fiction, nonfiction, poetry, and narrative.

Students SHINE as they are celebrated and showcased. They enjoy a great sense of satisfaction for their hard work. And they have a WHOLE LOT of FUN!

We also enjoyed guest appearances from our Superintendent Dr. Fisher, Assistant Superintendents Teresa Wood and Dr. Sidhu, School Board President Jennifer Winter, various SUSD coaches, and other SUSD administrative staff. And, of course, Grace the Reading Dog. 

GOING ON TO COMPETE AT THE COUNTY LEVEL

EIGHT ENTRIES ARE MOVING ON TO FRESNO COUNTY'S YOUNG AUTHORS' FAIRE

Students were interviewed and all submissions judged by SUSD Teacher Librarian Team. Roosevelt submitted Gift of Grace, by Anne DeFord's class as our Top Selection. Diane Sultenfuss, Scotty Chapanian, Cheryl Ransom, Sara Hollett, Rasha Anabtawi, and Janelle Aguilar also have students whose books will be submitted to Fresno County's YAF. Congratulations!!
