Welcome to the 2021-2022 School Year!
I sincerely hope that you relaxed and reconnected with family and friends this summer. We all experienced numerous challenges last year. Thank you for supporting and helping your children adjust to the ever-changing dynamics of school. We appreciate your persistence, tenacity, and partnership.
It’s exciting to welcome students back to school for full-time in-person instruction, with excitement and a positive energy in the air. It feels good to get back to school, to be among friends, and to socialize with one another. We will be cautious and do all we can to keep everyone safe, as well as adhere to current guidance provided by state and county officials.
Many parents are concerned about where their children are academically after a year of home studies. Please know that teachers will meet children where they are and help them to achieve. That’s always been the key skill and talent of teachers, and you’ll see your children bloom throughout the school year.
We're also excited to offer a new online learning option for grades TK-8, the Selma Unified Virtual Learning Academy. Learning from home worked for many families and we're happy to offer this option to our community.
We wish you and your students a happy and successful school year!
