Mental Health

Welcome to the Selma Unified Mental Health page. Our Selma Unified Department of Educational Services oversees the on-site student services provided by our Mental Health Team.

Mission Statement

The Selma Unified Mental Health Team promotes the mental health, well-being and academic achievement of all Selma Unified students.

Purpose

School Mental Health Teams support positive student connections with peers, family, school and community to facilitate student development. They also facilitate the ability to successfully deal with problems, crises, or traumatic experiences. School Mental Health Team Members foster resiliency by promoting healthy relationships, self-reflection, and problem-solving skills/strategies to optimize school success. Selma Unified School District serves approximately 6,000 students and consists of one high school, one middle school, seven elementary schools, one alternative educational school, and one adult school. Our team is available to provide district-wide services to all sites.
