Transitional Kindergarten
Transitional Kindergarten promotes school readiness by providing an additional year of early education prior to entering Kindergarten. TK helps children build social and emotional skills, such as working as a team, sharing, and being part of a community.
Benefits of TK
Our TK program is designed to provide a strong foundation for children’s learning and development.
School Readiness
Helps bridge the gap between preschool and kindergarten, preparing children academically and
socially.
Social and Emotional Growth
Encourages children to develop social skills like sharing, cooperation, and conflict resolution.
Stronger Academic Foundation
Establishes early structured learning, easing the transition to kindergarten while fostering curiosity and a love for learning through hands-on activities.
Smaller Class Sizes & Individualized Learning
Our TK classrooms have a lower student-to-teacher ratio, allowing for more personalized attention.
Improved Motor Skills
Incorporates activities that strengthen fine and gross motor skills, such as writing, cutting, and
physical play.
Helps Close the Achievement Gap
Especially beneficial for children who may not have had access to preschool education.
Smoother Transition to Kindergarten and Beyond
Children who attend TK tend to have an easier time adapting to full-day kindergarten.
