Linda Turpin

Linda Turpin has been with Selma Unified for 24 years. She began her career at Garfield Elementary as a 2nd grade teacher. After 10 years of teaching, she served as program manager at Eric White Elementary for 3 years. Then she transferred to Roosevelt Elementary and  has had the pleasure of serving the Roosevelt children and families as program manager for 10 years and principal for the last 2 years. Ms. Turpin’s passion is to help children  achieve their goals, encourage them to be the best they can be and to never give up.  She does this by working closely with the Roosevelt staff, families and the community.

She has an amazing administration team who work alongside her to provide a safe learning environment and ensure student success. In her spare time, she enjoys spending quality time with her children and 9 grandchildren. She enjoys watching a good movie, participating in her church activities, and reading a good book.

    Dear Roosevelt Parents/ Guardians, Welcome to Roosevelt Elementary, home of the Red Tail Hawks! Our goal is to educate all students through a student-centered instructional program to guarantee all students strive to achieve academic excellence within a positive and caring community of students, staff, and parents.  In which this will lead students to reach their highest potential as contributing members of society.

    At Roosevelt we believe in building a culture of continuous improvement to improve outcomes for all students. We set  high goals and expectations for all students. Teachers use state-adopted curriculum to teach common core standards, engage students through teamwork and collaboration, and  challenge students to use their imagination and creativity through problem solving and critical thinking.
