Mr. Nathan Lane
Nathan Lane, a native of Selma, California, has a rich educational background and a passion for positively impacting students. He received his early education at Jackson Elementary School, Roosevelt Junior High School, and Selma High School, where his dedication and intensity shone through his involvement in multiple sports. Nathan's pursuit of academic excellence led him to the Reedley College Honors Program, where he earned his Associate's Degree. Continuing his educational journey, he obtained a Bachelor's degree in Liberal Studies from Fresno State before attending National University. There, he earned his teaching credential and Master's Degree in Education, focusing on Cross-Cultural Teaching.
In 1995-1996, Nathan embarked on a 13-year basketball coaching career, starting as the 8th-grade boys' basketball coach at ALMS. He then coached for four years at Selma High School while substitute teaching throughout the Selma Unified district and completing his student teaching at Heartland. After obtaining his teaching credential, Nathan secured a teaching position at Sutter Middle School, where he taught 8th Grade Academic Block encompassing Language Arts and History. Concurrently, he served as the head coach of the varsity boys' basketball team at Fowler High School.
Nathan's journey extended beyond the educational sphere, as he excelled in the corporate world for a period of time. However, he ultimately returned to his true calling of positively influencing students. Over the years, Nathan has held administrative positions at the elementary, middle, and high school levels, accumulating 25 years of experience leading teams. Throughout his career, he has remained devoted to supporting his teams and cultivating a climate and culture that fosters pride and unity.
In his personal life, Nathan has been happily married to his high school sweetheart, Nicole, since 1999.
