Mr. Nathan Lane
Nathan Lane was born and raised in Selma, California. He attended Jackson Elementary School, Roosevelt Junior High School (prior to ALMS being built), and Selma High School. Nathan played multiple sports in high school where he was known for his effort and intensity. He attended Reedley College for his Associate's Degree, earned a Bachelor's degree from Fresno State in Liberal Studies, and then attended National University where he earned his teaching credential and Master's Degree in Education with a focus on Cross-Cultural Teaching.
Nathan started a 13-year basketball coaching career in 1995-1996 at ALMS as the 8th grade boys basketball coach. He then coached for four years at Selma High School while substitute teaching at every site in Selma Unified, and concurrently completing his student teaching at Heartland. After earning his teaching credential, Nathan was hired to teach 8th Grade Academic Block (Language Arts/History) at Sutter Middle School and served as head coach of the varsity boys basketball team at Fowler High School. He has 25 years of experience leading teams and has always been committed to supporting his teams and building a climate and culture that people are proud to join. Nathan has been married to his high school sweetheart Nicole since 1999.
