Acknowledging The Tremendous Academic Contributions of Kids
Selma High School mascot, Oskie, surprised seven sophomore students who had increased their grade by one letter in a class and were recommended for the Bear A.T.T.A.C.K. award by their teacher. Each student received a certificate, a sticker, and a flashlight key chain that states, "I survived the SHS Sophomore Bear A.T.T.A.C.K. The flashlight symbolizes that the student "brightened" his/her academics and improved his/her grade. A.T.T.A.C.K. is an acronym for Acknowledging The Tremendous Academic Contributions of Kids. Recipients of the Bear A.T.T.A.C.K. award were Joshua C., Al-Muatsem B., Esteban F., Seth R., Tamara B., and Krecie J.
