Lady Bears Softball Division 4 Champs

Congratulations to the Lady Bear softball team for again reaching the Valley finals in Division 4. The Lady Bears will play a familiar team in Mission Oak at 9;30 a.m. on Saturday at Margie Wright field at Fresno State. Lady Bears defeated a tough team from Dos Palos yesterday 1-0 and now move on for the title. Thank you to Coach Amber Green,Coach Brandon Abril and the Lady Bears for all of your hard work. LADY BEARS WILL FINISH!

U.S. News and World Report has ranked Selma High school 552 out of 2,399 high schools in California. As well as this rank we have also been awarded a Bronze award for the academic and enrichment programs offered. The full report on Selma High is available online.


Lady Bear's Softball Champions

Congratulations to the  Lady Bear Softball team and their D4 Section Championship won on Saturday at Margie Wright Field.  The Lady Bears returned to the section championship and the third time was executed perfectly.  Bearnation has achieved the first ever FIVE Section Championships (Football, Boys Basketball, Girls Wrestling, Boys Wrestling and this spring Lady Bears Softball.


American Kids Swim School offering lessons at Selma High

American Kids Swim School will be holding low cost swim lessons at the Selma High pool. Sign ups are now being taking for classes being held from June 12- August 16 2:00pm to 5pm. Please call the swim school at (559) 324-7946 to sign up or for more information.

Additionally there will also be community free swim opportunities held every Saturday and Sunday from 12:00pm-4:00pm, June 10 - August 12. Cost is $1-$2 per child depending on age. Contact the swim school for further information.

Absolutely no swim parties, birthday parties, or parties of any kind are permitted.

If you plan to attend a CSU or a UC you need to make sure you are taking the right classes? Visit the SHS counseling page to view the A-G requirements as well as reach out to your LD.
