 Celebrating Student Success

BEAR A.T.T.A.C.K

Acknowledging The Tremendous
Academic Contributions of Kids

In March, Selma High School mascot Oskie, surprised eighteen sophomore students who increased their grade by one letter grade in a class and were nominated for the Bear A.T.A.C.K. award by their teacher.  Each student received a certificate, a sticker, and a flashlight key chain that states, "I survived the SHS Sophomore Bear A.T.T.A.C.K."  The flashlight symbolizes that the student "brightened" his/her academics and improved his/her grade. A.T.T.A.C.K. is an acronym for Acknowledging The Tremendous Academic Contributions of Kids. Recipients of the Bear A.T.T.A.C.K. award were Aldo O., Edward C., Juan Carlos R., Litzy S. (nominated by two teachers), John H., Jennifer R., James C., Xochitl  P., Desare R., Maria G., Matthew R., Andrew F., Vivian S. Jared M., Adolfo V., Alondra R., Freddy B., and Yesenia B..
